  • Kiera Salazar could not have dreamt up a better collegiate debut, recording the ever-elusive double hat trick with six goals (four in the first half, two in the second) while accounting for nearly 25% of the team's 41 shots (10-of-41) and eight SOGs.

 

  • Not to be outdone, Abby May (4) and Sara Allwine (3) each claimed hat tricks themselves, combining for seven scores, an assist (Allwine), 11 shots, and eight on-target boots.

 

  • Four different student-athletes put together at least one goal and one assist in Columbia as Allwine, Faith Wright (one apiece), Amber Jones (two goals, one assist), and Abigail Noftsier (two goals, one assist).

 

 

  • Kylie Smith got the starting nod as the goalie on opening day, cashing in one save in her 45 minutes as the netminder whereas Baylee Copsey spent the first half in the field and the second half, all 23 minutes and 41 seconds of it, with the goalkeeper gloves on.
