Nine Soccer Players (Six Women, Three Men) Land All-Region 20 Selections

LA PLATA, Md. – The College of Southern Maryland men's and women's soccer programs had multiple student-athletes hear their names called when the annual NJCAA All-Region 20 Teams were revealed as the 22nd-ranked women placed a half-dozen while the men received three honorees.

Women:

Sara Allwine, a two-time First Teamer, was cooking with gas all season long courtesy of 66 points thanks to 28 goals plus ten assists in addition to 91 shots, 59 shots-on-goal, and five game-winners, all tops on the squad.

Abby May, a two-time First Team selection, dropped 42 points, 17 goals, and eight assists on opposing defenses including 60 shots and 34 SOG with three of her scores giving the Hawks the lead in games they would win.

Amber Jones and Kiera Salazar, both Second Team recipients, ranked second (45) and third (44) on the team in points respectively, both contributing 19 goals while Jones notched one extra assist (7 to 6).

Faith Wright, a Second Team freshman defender, was limited to just 12 matches, however, she registered a major impact in her appearances as she scored a trio of goals and assists apiece (nine points) despite playing most of her time on the back line of the defense.

Baylee Copsey, who earned back-to-back All-Region Honorable Mentions, did not put together flashy stats with just seven shots (three on-goal) and zero points, but she made up for that with fierce defense, excellent technique, aggressiveness on the pitch and helped lead the Black and Gold to seven shutouts.

Men:

Matthew Knapp, a First Team freshman forward, scored just under half of the Hawks' goals in 2025 (15-of-31, 48.4%) as he led the Black and Gold with 32 points, 15 goals, 40 shots, 27 SOG, a 0.375 shot percentage, a 0.675 SOG percentage, and was responsible for each of the team's four game-winning goals.

Fondjo Ulrich Kamyou, a Second Team freshman defender, put together a pair of assists plus a goal in the win at Virginia Peninsula while placing 7-of-the-8 (87.5%) shot attempts he took this year on target.

Josky Densie, an Honorable Mention sophomore defender, setup one of the Hawks' goals in the win over Frederick, got six shots off, and saw one land with precision.
