LA PLATA, Md. – The College of Southern Maryland men's soccer program could not get much of anything going offensively, however, their physical brand of defense and a lights out performance from new goalkeeper Matthew Knapp allowed the Hawks to come away with at least a point after salvaging a 0-0 tie against the Sea Devils.

Hawks' Top Performers:
- Knapp was the saving grace for the Black and Gold, notching a half-dozen stops to keep the visitors from Wilmington, North Carolina off the scoreboard as he pitches his first collegiate shutout in his CSM debut between the pipes.
- The trio of Aydyn Meaders, Hayden Miller, and Marvin Bates-Williams all tied for the team's shot lead with a pair of boots apiece, whereas Meaders as well as Bates-Williams were the only ones to launch their attempts on-target, one each.
- Elsewhere on the pitch, veteran Zion Abdullah got a shot off while newcomers Xavier Lalanne, Josky Densie, and Shamar McKen all took aim at CFCC keeper Jayden Drum but they all missed the mark either high or wide.
Next:
- Region 20 and MD JUCO conference play begins for Coach Porovne's men as they travel to Columbia for a date with the Howard CC Dragons at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
