Bio
Thomas Wasley has been named the new Head Women’s Soccer Coach at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM), bringing with him extensive playing experience and over two decades of coaching expertise across collegiate and youth levels.
Coach Wasley’s collegiate coaching career includes two years as Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Frostburg State University and 10 years as Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Marymount University, where he helped shape competitive programs and develop student-athletes.
A passionate youth coach, Wasley has spent more than 14 years coaching travel soccer, including head coach roles with DC Soccer Club, Stafford Soccer Association, Vienna Soccer Association, and Alexandria Soccer Association, as well as seven years as an assistant coach with Arlington Travel Soccer — guiding players through advanced competition and individual growth.
Wasley’s playing career spans collegiate and developmental ranks. He played for the Marymount University men’s soccer team and at William & Carey University, where he helped his squad capture the NAIA GCAC championship, NAIA regional championship, and reach the NAIA national semifinals before transferring following an injury and recovery. He also competed with the Northern Virginia Royals Pro Feeder Team and was selected for both the Olympic Development Program’s Northern Virginia Region team and the Virginia Olympic Development State Team, earning invitations to regional camp.
Off the field, Coach Wasley’s academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Health Promotion Management – Health Science from Marymount University. His professional development encompasses the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) B License, the United Soccer Coaches Premier Coaching Diploma, and Futsal and Goalkeeping Level 1 Diplomas, along with First Aid/CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross.
