Bio
Amine El Hachimi joined the College of Southern Maryland Hawks men’s soccer program in the spring of 2023 to be the associate head coach.
Raised in Morocco in northern Africa, El Hachimi is familiar with playing both in youth leagues and professionally in senior leagues. In Morocco, he played with FC Barcelona Academy, AC Milan Academy, Asfar Rabat, and Union Athletic Rabat.
During his playing time with Union Athletic Rabat, El Hachimi obtained an associate degree at the University of Rabat in 2016.
Unfortunately, El Hachimi was seriously injured during the last five games with Union Athletic Rabat. He had double fractures in his ankle that resulted in a five-month absence from soccer.
After recovering, El Hachimi received the opportunity to move to the United States of America. During this transition, he had a very successful practice and trial opportunity with DC United U-23 and some USL teams in the states. Regrettably, his injured ankle made every practice difficult and unbearably painful. It was after much consideration that El Hachimi, sadly, determined that he must stop playing soccer at the age of 23.
After retirement, El Hachimi helped create a youth soccer club in King George, Virginia. He was promoted to be the director of the program and director of coaching. El Hachimi coaches two teams in the program - U-19 boys and U-16 boys - both of which won their league’s division many times.
El Hachimi now holds a UEFA B License from Germany, USSF C License, and advanced national diploma from United Soccer Coaches and talent identification in football by the Football Association. His next step will be the UEFA A License.
El Hachimi has assisted and coached in the top leagues in the country, such as MLS Next, Elite Clubs National League, Elite Development Program, United States Youth Soccer, and Elite Development Program Pro U-23, winning many leagues and divisions. El Hachimi previously moved to New York to coach in one of the best programs in the country with the New York Red Bulls. El Hachimi has successful experience with the New York Red Bulls, and his U-15 boys and U-12 boys teams both won their league.
El Hachimi currently resides in King George, Virginia.
