McReynolds & Evans Earn All-Region 20 Nods

LA PLATA, Md. – The College of Southern Maryland baseball program had both a sophomore as well as a freshman collect selections onto the 2026 All-Region 20 squad as Mason McReynolds landed on the First Team whereas Lenell Evans found his name listed with the Honorable Mentions.

McReynolds became just the second player since 2016 to claim back-to-back regional honors (Yunior Pena in 2025 and 2024), averaging more than a walk per game (1.23) as he led the Hawks in every offensive statistic minus stolen bases, triples and hits. The disciplined first baseman slashed .422 (AVG) / .615 (OBP) / .824 (SLG) on his way to 49 walks, 43 hits, 40 runs scored, 37 RBIs, 11 doubles, 10 homers, and even three swipes of second base over 40 contests.

Evans was one of the few players to top his teammate in any single category, fronting the Black and Gold with 48 knocks, 16 steals, and the lone Hawk with multiple three-baggers (2), coming in as the runner-up regarding slugging percentage (.654), runs (31), long balls (9), and doubles (8).
