LA PLATA, Md. – The College of Southern Maryland athletics program keeps trying to include baseball in its lineup for the spring season, but Mother Nature has other plans, cancelling the Diamond Hawks' season opening series for the second straight weekend.

- Malik Acker had the night of his life against the Owls, setting career-highs for both points (20) and rebounds (10) for his first ever double-double in game #55 of his CSM tenure, making 8-of-10 (80%) shots in just 21 minutes to do so.
- Shamir Taylor (27) and James Hans (20) each eclipsed the 20-point mark as well with the former leading the team in assists (5) while both players tied for the most steals at four.
- Kyle Jackson kept up his accurate run, going 6-for-7 (85.7%) en route to 14 points and eight boards, knocking away the Black and Gold's one blocked shot too.
- Amir Dade did his usual stat-stuffing trick via 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals whereas Donnie Stafford gave Coach Hoyt six student-athletes in double-digits on offense (10).

- Desiree Barnes collected her first double-double since way back on November 15, garnering 14 points plus ten rebounds courtesy of 46.1% shooting percentage (6-for-13).
- Demi Lathern fronted the scoring from off the bench, notching 16 points, eight boards, and one of the contest's pair of blocked shots.
- Amoni Taylor got her share of the scoring (12) but also played the floor general role by logging as many assists as the entire PGCC team (7) and being one of three players to claim three steals.
- Sanaa Morrow was worth mentioning as well, giving Coach Muhammad a quartet of double-figure scorers on the evening (10).
