- Shamir Taylor, fresh off winning his second Region 20 Player of the Month accolade, got a head start on capturing his third by averaging a team-leading 22.7 points, 9.0 free throws, and 4.0 steals per game including a 25-point performance to help the Hawks knock off 20th-ranked Chesapeake on Wednesday.
- Amir Dade was arguably a better all-around player, dropping 17.3 points a night while topping the Black and Gold in rebounds (6.3) and assists (4.3).
- Kyle Jackson is back in full force, going 11-for-14 (78.6%) from the floor with 32 points (10.7 PPG) plus six blocked shots (2.0 BPG).
- Donnie Stafford rounded out the double-figure scoring averages, coming in at an even dozen per contest as most of his damage came from long range (8-of-16, 50%).

- Sanaa Morrow is creeping closer to averaging double-digits in rebounding for the season (9.9), chalking up nearly twice as many rebounds (36 / 12.0 RPG) than the next best Hawk last week while leading the defense at ten steals (3.3 SPG) and dropping 35 points (11.7 PPG) on opponents.
- Cailyn Samuel, all 5-foot-7 of her, led the squad in blocked shots (5) as well as assists (8).
- Demi Lathern and Amoni Taylor battled it out at the top of the scoring leaderboard during the three-game slate with the former (15.7 PPG) coming out slightly ahead of the latter (14.7 PPG).
