Weekly Recap: Men Defeat Cheyney While Women Fall to Wolves
The College of Southern Maryland athletics program put a holiday bow on the 2025 schedule as Head Coach Alan Hoyt’s men took care of Cheyney to earn its tenth win of the season, nearly dropping triple digits in the process, whereas Coach Muhammad’s ladies did not fare as well in their pre-break finale.

LA PLATA, Md. – The College of Southern Maryland athletics program put a holiday bow on the 2025 schedule as Head Coach Alan Hoyt's men took care of Cheyney to earn its tenth win of the season, nearly dropping triple digits in the process, whereas Coach Muhammad's ladies did not fare as well in their pre-break finale.

- Shamir Taylor decided to make one final statement in his case for the nice list for Santa Claus last Monday, gifting the Black and Gold 35 points on 11 buckets with eight rebounds, two steals and two dimes.
- Kacee Hewitt and Amir Dade were the gifts that kept on giving, dishing out six and five assists between the duo while co-leading the defense at three steals, the former scoring 17 and the latter providing nine more.
- Malik Acker had one of his more complete outings to conclude the first half, logging eight points and seven boards in 16 minutes as a reserve.

- Sanaa Morrow did not let the results on the scoreboard slow her down in the stat sheet, cobbling together a double-double with team-highs of 13 rebounds and 11 points in addition to a Hawks-best three steals.
- Cailyn Samuel topped the club in assists via a trio as she added seven boards to the book, Raylin Lee hauled in eight boards on top of a multi-assist affair, and Amoni Taylor tacked on eight points to her season tally.
