Despite a hard fought match, the Hawks lost in four sets to Harford. The positive outcome for the Hawks is that they were able to win a set, as it can help give the team confidence going forward.

In the first set the Hawks jumped out to a 4-2 lead thanks to a few kills from Gabrielle Wilson. The Owl's of Harford were able to storm back and tie the set at four. After a tie score at six, the Owl's would gain the lead, yet the Hawks were hanging around as the score was only a two point advantage for the Owl's for an extended period of time. With the score at 15-13 in favor of Harford, they would score on three straight possessions, which included two aces by Madison Scarpulla to extend the Owl lead to 18-13. Harford would pull away to win the first set by a score of 25-15.

In the second set the Hawks would hold a one point lead on five different occasions, their last lead at 9-8. Once the Owl's tied the game at nine they scored ten straight points to extend their lead to 19-9, which was just enough to win the second set by a score of 25-13.

Down 2-0, the Hawks would bring their best effort of the game in the third set. The Hawks would jump out to a hot start as Reagan Tuiasosopo served an ace to give CSM a 7-1 lead. The Owl's would crawl back to make the score 9-5 in favor of CSM, but the Hawks were far from extending their lead. Back-to-back kills by Zaiera Duckett gave the Hawks an 11-5 lead. After the Owl's cut the Hawks lead to 16-14, CSM would go on an 8-2 scoring run with more kills from Duckett, as the Hawks held a 22-16 lead. The Owl's would try to mount a comeback, but they were too little too late, as a block kill by Gabrielle Wilson clinched the third set victory for the Hawks with the score 25-20.

In the fourth set, Harford came out swinging. They jumped to a 10-3 lead and never looked back. After extending their lead to 10 with the score in their favor at 18-8, with the help of Kayla Reiswig, the Owl's would pull away with the match by winning the fourth set by a score of 25-12.

Zaiera Duckett led the Hawks with 16 kills and nine digs. Reagan Tuiasosopo had six kills, 15 digs, and an ace. Alyssa Wilson led the Hawks in digs with 17.

The Hawks will build on momentum when they take on the Cougars of Federick Community College. They are led by 5'9 outside hitter Jacqueline Ryan, who is first on the team with 65 kills. Kierra Shaffer and Elizabeth Wilson are second and third on the Cougars in kills with 28 and 26 respectively.
