Despite a valiant effort in the first half, the Hawks fell to CCBC Essex 5-0.

The standout star was third string goalie Lesli Young, who shutout Essex in the first half with 10 of her 17 saves. Time and time again Young would make saves as the last line of defense, as she played with superb effort to keep the Hawks in the game. CSM was not able to have possession of the ball on their offensive end most of the game, as Essex was able to control the pace of the game on their offensive end from start to finish.

In the second half, Essex sophomore midfielder Bailey D'Amico notched a hat trick to lead all scorers, followed by Victoria Aulestia and Mikayla Boyle each scoring a goal.

The Hawks will try to turn things around when they take on Montgomery College on Friday, October 2nd at 2pm.
