The Hawks, looking to get back on track in the win column, unfortunately fell to the Dragons of Howard County by a score of 7-0.
In the first 12 minutes of the first half, the Dragons were the aggressors on the offensive end. Nikki Viera was able to score an unassisted goal to put the Dragons on the board 1-0, 10 minutes into the game. 37 seconds later, Haley Montoya scored a goal to extend the lead to 2-0 with an assist from Emily Delaney. About two minutes after Montoya's goal, Viera assisted a Grace Pritchett goal to make the score 3-0; still in the first half.
The Hawks were not able to contain the Dragons on offense, as they scored four more times throughout the game as 15 of their 26 shots were on goal, successfully putting seven of them behind Hawks goalie Camille Cooley. The Hawks had five total shots in the game, two of them on goal.
They look to rebound from this loss as they travel to CCBC Catonsville today at 4pm.
