The College of Southern Maryland women's basketball team beat the Community College of Beaver County Titans on December 4 by a score of 70-54.
CSM was down 30-22 at the half, but they outscored the Titans 22-11 in the third quarter and 26-13 in the fourth quarter to come from behind and pick up their second win in a row. The Hawks' overall record now stands at 3-4.
Janiah Jones recorded her second consecutive double-double with a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds, adding two assists. Jaila Savoy scored a career-high 18 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, and a block. Janaya Sims had 14 points, going 4-6 from beyond the 3-point line. She also contributed five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block. Moriah Jones provided 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, and a block.
The Hawks registered season-highs in assists (22), 3-point shooting percentage (54.5 percent), free-throws made (14), free-throw percentage (70.0 percent), and tied their season-high in points. They also committed the fewest turnovers of the season (12).
CSM's next game is December 11 against the Hagerstown Community College Hawks at 1:30 p.m.
