Despite a hard fought effort from goalie Brian King, making his first start of the season, the Hawks fell to Montgomery 3-0.

Montgomery controlled the ball from the opening face-off as it showed right away in the first half. In the eighth minute of the game, Montgomery's Andrew Alverado scored a goal on an assist from Diego Melendez-Sosa to make the score 1-0. A few minutes before the end of the first half, Bobby Riffle scored a goal on a pass from Daniel Jurisec to make the score 2-0 Montgomery going into halftime.

In the opening 10 minutes of the second half, Motgomery was able to put the game out of reach when Carlos Contrearas kicked a ball past King to make the score 3-0. Montgomery was able to dictate the pace of the game, passing the ball effectively on offense in order to find the best shot, and was able to surround multiple defenders around the ball when the Hawks had possession on offense.

The Hawks had three shots the entire game, compared to Motgomery's 39; 22 of them on net. Brian King had 20 saves in the loss, filling in for the injured Hunter Vanzandt.

The next game for the Hawks will be Tuesday October 9th when they host the Owls of Harford CC. Faceoff is set for 2pm.
