Coach Snell will be entering his third season as an assistant coach for the Hawks baseball team.
Growing up in Southern Maryland, Snell’s life has revolved around baseball. He was a state champion, an All-county and All-Metropolitan selection at Gwynn Park High School. After playing at High Point University for one year, Snell decided to transfer to CSM, then called Charles County Community College.
After his playing days were finished, Snell decided he wanted to be a coach because of his passion for the game. He has coached his children at the little league level and has coached many years in travel baseball with the Southern Maryland Sting. When he heard about an opening for a coaching position with CSM, it was an opportunity he could not refuse because it was his alma matter.
With Snell’s background of the talent in Southern Maryland, his knowledge of the game and serving as the Hawk’s pitching coach, he continues to teach the fundamentals of the game in order for the program to achieve success.
